The February monthly meeting with be Monday night the 8th and will be a Zoom meeting.
The topic will be "How to Propolize Your Colonies".
Hollie Wall Dalenberg is a Tulsa native and a recent graduate from the University of Minnesota, where she learned beekeeping and completed her Master's degree under the advisorship of Dr. Marla Spivak. Hollie's thesis work demonstrated how a propolis envelope reduces disease and promotes beneficial bacteria on honey bee worker mouthparts.
This presentation, "How to Propolize Your Colonies," will provide information on what propolis is, why it's important for honey bee health, and how you can incorporate it into your own beekeeping practices so that you can help your honey bees help themselves. Learn how to create a propolis envelope in your own colonies by using propolis traps and other techniques.

Welcome to NEOBA!
NEOBA (Northeast Oklahoma Beekeepers Association) is simply a group of beekeepers that promote beekeeping to the general public and support fellow beekeepers around our region. NEOBA pursues its educational mission by giving local presentations to schools and civic groups, hosting beekeeper classes, and organizing our annual Big Bee Buzz conference.
Our series of classes, “Starting Right With Bees,” occurs twice a year, once during the fall and then late winter off-season, and graduates over 150 new beekeepers every year.
